A brand new consortium set up to promote conference and meeting venues around Junction 1 of the M5 motorway in the UK was launched at the National Venue Show in Birmingham.

Seven venues, all located within a mile of Junction 1 of the motorway in West Bromwich, have joined forces to promote their meeting facilities and increase awareness of their excellent location and accessibility for business visitors from across the country.

The venues; the Bethel Convention Centre, West Bromwich Albion Football Club, the National Metal Forming Centre, the Park Inn and Premier Travel Inn, Sandwell Valley Park Farm and West Bromwich Town Hall, offer a wide range of meeting and conference facilities from 10 through to 2500 delegates (www.J1M5venues.com).

Sarah White, Business Development Manager at the Park Inn West Bromwich said, “we are looking forward to working with partners to help us retain and develop business in the area, a cohesive approach to marketing is imperative to promote the region, we are just 4 miles from the centre of Birmingham and as a meeting location we offer so much more than people realise”.

Members of the consortium, which is a joint initiative between Black Country Conferences, Destination West Bromwich and the Sandwell Partnership, were on hand at the NEC to talk to visitors who are interested in organising events in the region.
