Big Sccess For The First Italian Edition Of The International Congress Of Protocol

The 8th International Congress of Protocol took place in Rome in November, 2007.

 

The Congress, which has been hosted in Italy for the first time, has a worldwide echo and is attended by some of the most skilled professionals in the field of Protocol, coming from International Organizations, Institutions and Companies, Hospitality industry and Sport.

 

350 participants from 28 countries and more than 30 speakers attended the Congress, with the satisfaction of EGA, the Promoters and the Sponsors.

 

EGA Professional Congress Organisers worked as Organising Secretariat in collaboration with the two promoters of the event: OICP, Organización Internacional de Ceremonial y Protocolo (www.oicp-protocolo.org) and SIOI, Italian Society for International Organizations (www.sioi.org).

 

The Honour Committee was composed by:

  • Cristiano Cottafavi, Diplomatic Protocol, Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • Sara Cavelli, Director of SIOI
  • Francesco Piazza, Italian National Protocol Department Advisor, Presidency of the Council of Ministers
  • Daniela De Rosa, Protocol Advisor, International Olympic Committee and Italian Paralympic Committee

The Organising Committee was composed by Carlos Fuente Lafuente, President* of OICP and Emma Aru, President of EGA Professional Congress Organisers.

 

During the panel dedicated to the Protocol in companies Emma Aru made and interesting speech about the importance of the protocol rules in the organisation of big international events.

 

Just to mention other two important speakers, who brought their professional experience to the Congress: Paul Foster, Head of Protocol, Events and Hospitality, International Olympic Committee and Ray Bloom, General Manager of IMEX.
