The British Association of Conference Destinations (BACD) will be holding its annual Confer London event on 3rd November 2004, 3.00pm-6.00pm, at One Whitehall Place near Embankment Tube Station, London.

BACD is extending invitations to conference buyers to attend this event - free of charge. Confer London will be showcasing some 40 BACD member destinations, representing about 2,000 venues, and is a prime opportunity for buyers to discuss their conference requirements in a relaxed, informal atmosphere.

The event will begin with a choice of two free seminars for visitors, designed to give delegates a range of practical ideas that will ensure the success of their events.

'Top Ten Tips to Differentiate Your Next Event' will be presented by Rob Davidson, senior lecturer at the University of Westminster and course leader for the MA in conference management. The other seminar will be presented by Elle Gordon, managing director of conference organiser, Angelfish, who will be focusing on food at events, titled 'Feast Your Eyes and Indulge Your Senses... the Event Conference to Remember... It's All in the Imagination'.

Simon Forrester, BACD operations manager, said: "Confer London is BACD's annual opportunity for buyers to meet with destinations from all over the UK in an informal atmosphere. We've tried hard to make the event very different from the standard trade exhibition, and to offer buyers access to the largest number of venues with the least possible hassle. We feel confident the seminar programme will provide the same high standard of industry 'best practice' we try to promote each year."

Over £5million of business was placed at last year's Confer London which attracted some 150 buyers from across the UK.

All attending delegates at this year's event will be entered into a prize draw to win some fantastic weekend breaks to Southport, Coventry & Shakespeare Country, Belfast, and Birmingham; plus one lucky winner will leave with a huge Hampshire Fare Hamper.
