Staging Connections has expanded its global footprint further with news that it has acquired 51% interest in Gearhouse LLC, a leading Dubai based integrated event production, staging, management and exhibitions company operating in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Staging Connections Managing Director Bill Davidson said the Company had reached agreement to acquire a majority interest in Gearhouse to further expand the global footprint of Staging Connections.

“Over the past 8 months we established significant operations in China, Fiji and Singapore and our ongoing review to identify further offshore business opportunities identified the UAE as an attractive and essential target market.”

“Dubai is a key global events hub and the UAE’s strategic geographic location, impressive infrastructure, world class convention centres and hotel venues and convenient air connections were all compelling reasons to establish our third international event production hub in this dynamic location.”

Gearhouse has been in operation for over a decade and is the UAE’s premier event services provider. The company provides event production, staging, management and exhibition services for the region’s major incentives and meetings expos and business events for the top Fortune 200 companies. The Gearhouse operations and client base are an excellent strategic fit to expand Staging Connections’ global footprint.

The current Managing Partners of Gearhouse, Peter McCann and Nigel Pinto, will remain with the business to drive the future growth strategy, with Peter McCann assuming the role of Managing Director of the new partnership business. Additional Staging Connections’ personnel will be seconded to assist with integration and growth in the region.
