ANGELL Business School Freiburg Offers Master In International Event Management

The event industry is one of the fastest growing industries worldwide.

 

Whether in national or international sports, cultural or political events: Events are taking place in most companies and organisations.

 

Robert Wetterauer - the managing director of ANGELL Business School Freiburg (ABSF) states: “The demand for professionals of the event industry is urgent. Due to this need, we introduced the Master in International Event Management as the ideal stepping stone for professionals of the event industry.”

 

The ANGELL Business School is the first and only provider of the Master in International Event Management in Germany.

 

The programme is nationally and internationally accredited in cooperation with the renowned Univesity of Brighton, U.K. The School of Service Management in Brighton, which designed the course has furthermore been accredited by the Hotel Catering and International Management Association (HCIMA), Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the World Tourism Organization (WTO).

 

Positive reverberation – custom-made for working professionals

 

More often career changer of the event industry stagnate after a period of time. The compact Master in International Event Management is often fast-tracking into senior management. Besides the new Master programme the ABSF offers the Master in Tourism Management (MA) and the Master in Hospitality (MA) as part-time programmes.

 

The part-time Masters only receive positive feedback: “I get a lot of encouragement for my daily work. I can discuss work related questions directly with colleagues from the same industry. Even for experts it is a motivating and challenging programme. I can only suggest taking this step”, says Gabriele Maessen, Business Development Manger of the Westin Grand Hotel, Berlin and Master student of the very first Master class at the ANGELL Business School.

 

The Master programmes are especially designed for professionals. The courses consist of one monthly weekend study block during the first three semesters and a master thesis in the fourth semester.

 

ABSF plans further development – the focus is set on research

 

During the next years the ABSF will still expand its range of programmes in the Service Management.

Robert Wetterauer explains “We made very positive experiences and therefore we would like to strengthen our engagement in the research and development sector besides the development of our study programmes”.

 

While writing the master thesis students can access our strong national and international network of education and industry.

 

Experience causes competence

 

Besides the ANGELL Akademie Freiburg, the ANGELL Businesss School Freiburg belongs to the most successful educators in the tourism and hospitality industry in Germany. The institutions have about 500 students and since early 2008 the Master in International Event Management complements the courses at the ABSF.

 

The next group will start in March 2009. Applications are accepted at all times.
