Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) announced a major milestone for the Middle East’s hotel industry, unveiling Amanresorts and GHM as operators of a prestigious signature destination that will anchor the hospitality offering within the Dubai Trade Centre District (DTCD) development.
Internationally recognised as leaders in luxury hospitality, the agreement signals the launch of the first-ever Amanresorts property in the Gulf Region and the first of its kind in the Middle East, as well as the debut of GHM in the UAE.
Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General, Dubai World Trade Centre, said: “We are working with industry pioneers and world-renowned experts for every aspect of the development of DTCD, to ensure that every tenant, resident and visitor is offered an unrivalled and distinctive experience within the confines of one unique destination.”
“Adrian Zecha, Chairman of Amanresorts, is well acknowledged as one of the visionaries of the hospitality industry and we are eagerly looking forward to his engagement in enabling us deliver this development,” he added.
The signature destination will offer outstanding facilities, exceptional service and a broad range of rooms and apartments delivered in an environment of unmatched elegance and refined luxury.
It will also feature an Aman Club that will offer its invitation-only members an unmatched range of services and amenities. Supported by world-class dining options, with four restaurants created by leading names in international cuisine, the resort will provide a unique blend of ambience and exclusivity.
Amanresorts owns and operates 22 luxury hotels in 12 different countries. The Aman Group has consistently received worldwide recognition and accolades from globally-recognised publications including Condé Nast, Zagat Survey, Travel and Leisure amongst many others.
Adrian Zecha, Chairman of Amanresorts and Non-Executive Chairman of GHM said: “Each of our resorts is quite different in terms of look, feel and location, but each provides a unique lifestyle experience for our guests. We believe that this new development – at the heart of Dubai, one of the world’s most exciting cities – will provide a landmark destination.”
GHM operates a contemporary and eclectic range of boutique hotels across Europe, Asia, the US and the Middle East, including the Datai in Langkawi, the Chedi in Muscat and The Setai in Miami among many others.
Hans R Jenni, President, GHM said: “Our ideas and understanding of business travellers’ expectations of luxury and relaxation blends well with those of Dubai World Trade Centre. We are confident that this partnership will create one of the most talked-about destinations in the world.”
DWTC envisions DTCD to be a global epicentre for business that not only provides world-class facilities and infrastructure but is also iconic in aesthetic appeal– this hospitality offering will be designed as part of series of landmark structures in the heart of the District, delivering a striking architectural image for Dubai.
Built over an area of approximately 34,000m2 (3.4 Hectares), the hotels, apartments and towers will blend into the surrounding cityscape. The development will be a fully integrated destination that will offer a mix of high-end luxury and sophisticated business convenience.
In addition to its elite hospitality destination, DTCD will offer a state-of-the-art convention centre at its core, office and residential towers, and a wide range of boutique retail outlets showcased within a spatial mix of terraces and boulevards. |
