Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE) and the Australian Society of Association Executives (AuSAE) have announced a partnership agreement that will see the two organisations forming a closer working relationship.

AuSAE will assist AIME with its Professional Development Seminar Series by further developing learning opportunities for association managers attending AIME 2006.

AIME 2006 will provide AuSAE with promotional and marketing support for its convention and provide greater access to AIME’s Hosted Buyer programme to AuSAE members.

AuSAE was established more than 50 years ago and services the professional development needs of Australia's association industry managers. The not-for-profit sector has an estimated annual spend of more than $43 billion and employs around 6% of the workforce.

Operating nationally, with its national office in Canberra, Australia, AuSAE is part of an international affiliation of Societies of Association Executives, with links into USA, Canada and Europe.

RTE is part of Reed Exhibitions Ltd (RX), which manages over 420 events in 32 countries. These events serve 49 different industries in 12 key market sectors, with some 156,000 exhibiting companies and over 9 million visitors.

AIME forms part of the RTE portfolio of Global Meeting and Incentive Events along with EIBTM, CBITM - China International Business & Incentive Travel Mart, LACIME and the ICCA Exhibition in association with the ICCA Congress.

“AuSAE is delighted to be working in partnership with RTE. AIME is an innovative, professionally organised event that provides a great resource for our members when they are planning their meetings and annual conventions,” said John Teres FSAE, AuSAE National Executive Officer.

Rosemarie Sama, AIME Event Manager said it was extremely important to form closer links with associations such as AuSAE.

“We value greatly this new partnership with AuSAE and the closer relationship we will have in the future with the association and its members. By working closely with AuSAE we will be able to provide programmes and activities that will benefit association executives,” she said.
