The Society of Incentive and Travel Executives (SITE) will host its 6th European SITE Education and Networking Program (ESNEP) in Warsaw, Poland from 5-8 May 2007. ESNEP Warsaw will showcase a city where the cultural influences of Western and Eastern Europe culture fuse while providing participants from Europe and around the globe with industry-relevant education and unique networking opportunities. Since ESNEP’s inception in 2002 in Malta, program participants have experienced emerging destinations including Budapest, Zagreb, Amman, and Dubai. Hugo Slimbrouck, president of SITE, commented, “ESNEP Warsaw will provide participants with the opportunity to discover or re-discover one of the fastest growing cities in Europe while creating global connections with the best in our industry.” Until now, ESNEP has been known for its networking opportunities; however, the program has expanded its scope of educational offerings this year. The ESNEP curriculum will range from exploring cultural differences to brand awareness to new trends in event marketing to sustainable tourism. Brenda Anderson, CEO of SITE, a repeat guest on “Oprah and Friends” radio network and the incoming chairman for the Convention Industry Council, will be ESNEP’s keynote speaker. A published author with her first book, now in its third printing, Anderson’s keynote will parallel her book, “Playing the Quantum Field: How Changing Your Choices Can Change Your Life.” Additional ESNEP educational components include an industry panel, local destination panel, breakout sessions, and an international speaker line-up from countries including Belgium, Finland, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Spain, and the U.S. among the more complex categories” stated Kenneth Phua, Regional Director, ACTE Asia-Pacific. “Traditional travel managers are being asked to take on more and more indirect spend responsibilities and ACTE is now enhancing its education curriculum to address this need at all of our events.” ACTE is offering procurement professionals an opportunity to participate in a travel management clinic addressing value-based purchasing at its 2007 Asia-Pacific Education Conference in Singapore from 22-23 August. |
