The San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau (SFCVB), which books more than 1,000 meetings on an annual basis, has added "San Francisco Values" in the Discounts for Planners section of the Meeting Planners pages of its Web site to provide meeting professionals with special offers from suppliers and hotels.
The site includes a growing list of more than 40 discounts for meeting and event planning; destination management companies; special event facilities; sightseeing; restaurants; photographers; performing arts; concierge services; buses and motor coaches; entertainment; staffing; and hotels.
"San Francisco has always been a desirable destination for meeting planners, and now it is an even greater value," said Kathryn Horton, senior director of convention events and services of the SFCVB.
"With budgets tighter than ever, we encourage meeting planners to take advantage of the incredible cost savings these 'San Francisco Values' provide."
Currently, the SFCVB has secured more than 45 member businesses in the program who are actively working with meeting professionals to offer special pricing or packages for groups. All offers expire Dec. 31, 2009.
