LA INC., The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau announced the election of Martin Jeffrey (Jeff) King, Chairman of the Board and cofounder of King's Seafood Company, to its governing board of directors.
King will serve a two year term with LA INC., through June 30, 2011.

"His years of leadership experience with restaurant associations and educational institutions will make him an asset to our organization."
King oversees the management of six concepts and 17 restaurants that combined attract more than three million guests each year. King's Seafood Company was founded by King and his cousin, Sam King, in the early 1980s under the name University Restaurant Group (URG).
Renamed to King's Seafood Company in 1993, the family business focuses on high quality seafood. Additionally, Jeff King Consulting, Inc. specializes in all aspects of restaurants hospitality, from grand openings to operations.
He lectures regularly at educational institutions including the Collins School of Hospitality Management at Cal Poly Pomona and University of California, Los Angeles.

Jeff King has served as Board Member of the California Restaurant Association (CRA) for more than 10 years. He has also served as a Board Member of the Santa Monica Convention & Visitors Bureau and Northern Arizona University Hospitality Program.
He currently sits on the Board of Directors at the Collins School of Hospitality Management at Cal Poly Pomona.
